Your Fundamental Session

Personal training Option

Whether you’re brand new to strength training or an award-winning athlete, a fundamental personal training session is a great way to establish the basic movements involved in our group classes, get modifications based on your ability, and to get in a great workout.

Most sessions follow this general format:

  • Brief studio tour

  • Meet your trainer + discuss goals

  • Warm-up + movement assessment

  • Full workout or common exercise demonstrations with any needed modifications

  • Cool-down

  • Go through any studio or fitness questions. Have a goal or a fitness plan you want to put into action? Use this time to pick your trainer’s brain on group fitness classes or open gyms they suggest for your goals.

Whether you are interested in pursuing personal training or not, this hour is yours to have undivided attention from one of our team members so you can use this hour for any fitness needs.

It’s a great opportunity to learn how an experienced personal trainer would program for you, and to learn any movement modifications or options. You’ll get a taste of personal training, and a professional opinion on what classes would work best for you given where you are in your fitness journey. This is not a sales pitch.

Fitness Assessment Option

Fitness Assessments are a series of measurements and exercises designed to evaluate your physical health and abilities at a moment in time. They help in understanding your current fitness level, setting realistic goals, and tracking progress over time. These assessments offer personalized insights to guide you through your fitness journey.

Our fitness assessments include the following categories, with each category including multiple testing options.

Pre-test considerations

  • Body circumference measurements

  • Cardiovascular assessment

  • Muscular strength assessment

  • Muscular endurance assessment

  • Flexibility and mobility assessment

Why choose the 1-on-1 Fitness Assessment?

The fitness assessment testing is a great opportunity to set a baseline for yourself and your fitness goals. Then you can use that information to aid in deciding what classes would be best for you to take, or to aid in what type of program your trainer should make for you. Once that data is gathered, you can retest later to compare your current and past results. This is a concrete way to track your progress! At the end of your session your trainer will share a copy of the results for your records.
